Adoption Homestudy
LOne of the first legally required steps in adopting a child is to have an
adoption homestudy performed by a licensed, child placing agency, and
Adoption Connection is licensed by the State of Ohio to perform homestudies
for prospective adoptive parents.
The Homestudy is a family assessment that serves the following purposes:
- To determine whether adoption will serve your needs adoptive parents
- To prepare you for adoptive parenting
- To assess whether the you will be able to provide the safety, security and stability needed to raise an adoptive child
- To provide you with official approval from a licensed Ohio agency
- To provide Adoption Connection with enough knowledge about you so we can best assist you in making the best decisions about adoption for your family
- To meet any requirements of any State or foreign government necessary for you to adopt
