Dear Birthparent,

We would like to thank you from the bottom or our hearts for taking the time to look at our profile during this tough time in your life. Your choice to make a birth plan for your baby is so admirable and we will forever be grateful for people like you who help make our dreams possible.

Our names are Brett and Jackie and we cannot wait to welcome a child into our home. We recently made the move closer to our friends and family so that we can raise a child surrounded by the love and support of our very large extended families. Our large families mean the world to us and we want nothing more than to raise a child in the rich treasures of family get-togethers!

We love to travel and attend sporting events (we are incredibly partial to the Bengals, Reds, and Fighting Irish- please don't hold that against us! ha-ha). We love to be outdoors and spend time in the sun! During the summer time, when every weekend is filled with family/friend cookouts and fun, you can find us either in the pool or playing games! The little ones love chasing the fireflies in the evenings while the adults talk about how nice it would be to be children again without a worry in the world- except for bedtime of course! The summer heat also brings a yearly vacation to Sunset Beach or somewhere near the ocean.

Our winter times are filled with working puzzles, skiing, and enjoying the holiday season! Our Christmas traditions include a very large Christmas Party where the whole family dresses in their Christmas best to eat, drink, and sing until Santa arrives to pass out the gifts to all the children. Christmas Eve finds us at the Children's Christmas Mass where we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Our Catholic faith and education have shaped us into the people we are today and we wish to instill in our child the same core values that our faith has taught us. It is important to us that our child knows the love of God and His overwhelming influence on our lives.

We are very fortunate to have much flexibility with our careers. As an IT Systems Administrator for a large hospital and an Employee/Public Relations Coordinator for a family owned business, our jobs will allow us to be home with our child throughout much of their childhood. We are also blessed to have family members who will be there to support us in raising our child throughout their life- and who can not wait for an opportunity to babysit one evening!

We want you to know that if you choose to let us raise your child, they will forever know how much you love them. We completely respect your concerns on how open you would like this process to be and promise to honor your wishes!  It is our desire that our child knows how important they are to YOU and what adoption truly means. It is completely your choice on how involved you would like to be in our child's life- we can do this together! After all, a very wise 3 year old once said "a family isn't made up of people that look alike, it is made up of people that love each other".
