must meet strict standards for licensure and maintain records as mandated
by law. What does this mean for you? You will feel secure knowing each
adoptive family has been thoroughly screened according to requirements of
the State of Ohio.
- Free confidential counseling: We
will provide you with the support and information you need to help you
decide if adoption is the right choice for you. And you will be able to
speak with others who have made important decisions regarding their
pregnancies.
But most importantly, you will be treated with respect. We want to help
you make the best plans for you and your baby. So, our social workers
will not pressure you into any decision. This is your life and your
choice. Your dreams for a great future are still possible.
- Linking you to community services:
You will be connected to financial help, housing services, health care,
nutrition services and legal services.
- Designing an adoption plan:
You can choose the level of openness that makes you feel comfortable--from
maintaining total privacy to planning for ongoing contact after the
placement.
- Choosing the adoptive family you think
is best: Get to know the
different families through their biographies so you will be comfortable
with your child's future. And as we already said above, you will feel
secure knowing each family has been thoroughly screened according to
requirements of the State of Ohio.
